These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Evora Health under the laws of the Republic of South Africa. During onboarding, you will be required to expressly accept these Terms via a checkbox before your account is activated. This acceptance is recorded in our audit log.
The Evora Health Platform is intended for persons aged 18 years and older. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age. Evora Health does not knowingly collect information from or provide services to persons under 18.
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account, including your biological sex, date of birth, and health goals. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
You may log in using Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, or email and password. Optional biometric authentication (fingerprint or Face ID) may be enabled on compatible devices. Two-factor authentication via email OTP is available and recommended.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at admin@evorahealth.co.za if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
Evora Health reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, provide false information, or are used fraudulently.
All Devices sold by Evora Health are wellness devices. They are not medical devices, diagnostic instruments, or therapeutic tools as defined under South African health legislation, including the Medicines and Related Substances Act 101 of 1965 and any regulations made under it. No SAHPRA registration applies to these Devices.
The The Evora Bio Band continuously tracks heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), blood oxygen saturation (SpO2), sleep stages, steps, calories, and related wellness metrics. The blood pressure trend feature on premium band models is a trend indicator only and is not a clinical blood pressure measurement. Users should confirm blood pressure readings with a calibrated cuff device. The band is not intended to detect, diagnose, or treat any cardiovascular condition.
Single-lead ECG functionality available on premium band models may indicate rhythm irregularities including possible atrial fibrillation (AFib). This is a wellness alert feature only and does not constitute a medical diagnosis. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional if you receive any rhythm alert.
The The Evora Bio Pod uses bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) to estimate body composition including body fat percentage, skeletal muscle mass, visceral fat level, body water, bone mass, and related metrics. These are estimates based on population-derived algorithms and may vary from clinical measurements. Results should not be used to diagnose or make decisions about medical treatment.
The LED Bio Mask is a photobiomodulation wellness device delivering red and near-infrared light wavelengths. It is not a medical device. See Section 12 for full safety terms.
The Evora Health App is a wellness and motivational tool. It synthesises data from connected Devices, manual user inputs, and third-party health platforms to generate a Daily Decision Engine output: a daily readiness score, training recommendation, and personalised guidance covering physical activity, cognitive strategy, social engagement, nutrition, and recovery.
All outputs from the App, including the Evora Score, Evora BioAge, readiness state, training recommendations, cycle predictions, and AI-generated insights, are informational and motivational only. They do not constitute medical advice, clinical diagnosis, or medical treatment of any kind. See Section 9.
Upon account creation, the App enters a 14-day data collection phase. During this period, AI personalisation is inactive. The App displays generic wellness guidance. After 14 days of sufficient logged data, the personalised AI guidance engine activates. If minimum data thresholds are not met within 14 days, the learning period extends until they are. This is clearly communicated within the App.
The App asks you to specify your biological sex during onboarding to calibrate physiological models. This setting can be changed at any time in your Profile. Female users receive additional features including cycle tracking, phase-based guidance, menstrual symptom logging, fertility window indication, pregnancy mode, perimenopause mode, and contraception-aware algorithms. See Section 9 for the applicable disclaimers.
The App provides menstrual cycle tracking, phase predictions, fertility window estimates, and related guidance. These features are for personal wellness and informational purposes only. They are not contraceptive tools and must not be relied upon for contraception or family planning decisions. Fertility window predictions are estimates based on cycle history and are not clinically validated. Always consult a healthcare provider for reproductive health advice.
Pregnancy Mode disables cycle predictions and phase logic. All training recommendations are capped at low intensity during pregnancy. If your doctor has cleared specific activities, you may manually override individual recommendations, which is logged in your event history. Evora Health strongly recommends consulting your obstetrician or midwife before using any wellness device or following any exercise guidance during pregnancy.
Perimenopause Mode adjusts the App's algorithms to reduce reliance on cycle predictions and increase weighting of real-time biometrics. The App does not diagnose perimenopause or any hormonal condition. Guidance is general wellness information only.
During onboarding you will be asked to select your Fitzpatrick skin tone (I to VI). This information is used solely to calibrate photoplethysmography (PPG) confidence bands for heart rate and HRV readings from the Evora Bio Band. It is not used for any other purpose.
Discreet Mode allows you to hide sensitive interface labels, PIN-lock the Flow (cycle) tab, and control the visibility of sensitive content sections. This feature is entirely user-controlled and is not monitored by Evora Health.
The App is available on iOS and Android. We make no guarantee of uninterrupted availability. Scheduled maintenance, system updates, and events outside our reasonable control may result in temporary unavailability. We will endeavour to provide advance notice of planned downtime.
Evora Health may update the App at any time to add, modify, or remove features. Material changes to functionality will be communicated via in-app notification or email. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of any revised features.
The Free Tier provides access to device pairing, daily Evora Score, readiness state, daily and weekly insights, basic cycle tracking, scale and band data, LED mask session logging, body measurements, BioAge overview, training recommendations, and the physical component of the daily guidance engine.
Premium provides all Free Tier features plus: full daily guidance across all five categories (physical, cognitive, social, nutrition, recovery), BioAge deep driver analysis, BioAge monthly PDF report, advanced analytics including phase overlays and correlations, GP export bundle (PDF and CSV), peptide logger, family mode (up to 5 users under one subscription), emergency contact notifications, extended AI coaching with cross-metric insights, monthly summary CSV, cycle report PDF, cycle history insight engine, and prediction accuracy display.
Premium is priced at USD 9 per month (or ZAR equivalent), billed monthly. Pricing is subject to change with 30 days' notice to active subscribers.
Premium subscriptions purchased through the iOS App are processed via Apple In-App Purchase and are subject to Apple's Terms of Service. Subscriptions purchased through the Android App are processed via Google Play Billing and are subject to Google's Terms of Service. Web-based or direct subscriptions are processed via PayFast in ZAR. Evora Health uses RevenueCat to manage entitlement state across iOS and Android billing platforms.
Where billing is managed by Apple or Google, cancellation, refund, and billing queries must be directed to Apple or Google respectively in accordance with their policies. Evora Health has no ability to issue refunds for Apple IAP or Google Play purchases.
You may cancel your Premium subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused days within a billing period, except where required by the Consumer Protection Act.
Evora Health may offer free trial periods for Premium. The duration and conditions of any free trial will be stated at the time of offer. If you do not cancel before the trial period ends, you will be charged the applicable Premium subscription fee.
Hardware Product prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable. Prices are subject to change without notice. The price applicable to your order is the price displayed at the time you complete checkout.
Payment for hardware orders is processed securely through PayFast. Evora Health does not store or have access to your card or banking details. By completing a purchase, you also agree to PayFast's terms and conditions.
Orders are confirmed only upon successful payment. An order confirmation email will be sent to the address provided at checkout.
Evora Health currently delivers within the Republic of South Africa only. Estimated delivery is 2 to 5 business days from order confirmation, subject to courier availability and location. Risk of loss passes to you upon delivery. Evora Health is not liable for delays caused by courier services, incorrect addresses, or force majeure events.
Summary: 7 calendar days to return an unused, unactivated Device for a full refund. Defective Devices are covered under our 12-month warranty.
You may return a Device within 7 calendar days of receipt for a full refund, provided the Device is unused, unactivated, in original packaging with all accessories, and you have notified us at admin@evorahealth.co.za before returning. Return shipping costs for change-of-mind returns are borne by you. Refunds are processed within 10 business days of receiving the Device in satisfactory condition. Devices that have been activated, paired to an account, or used beyond initial inspection are not eligible for change-of-mind returns. Digital subscriptions are non-refundable once activated.
If a Device arrives damaged or develops a manufacturing defect within the warranty period, contact admin@evorahealth.co.za with photographs and a description. We will arrange collection and replacement or refund at our cost.
All Devices carry a 12-month limited warranty against manufacturing defects from date of purchase, valid within South Africa. The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidents, unauthorised modification, water damage beyond stated IP ratings, or normal wear and tear.
Important: The Evora Health Platform is a wellness and motivational tool. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. Nothing on the Platform constitutes medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional.
The Evora Health Platform, including all metrics, scores, recommendations, cycle predictions, and AI-generated insights, is provided for personal wellness monitoring and motivational purposes only. The Platform is not a registered medical device under the Medicines and Related Substances Act or any equivalent South African legislation. No SAHPRA registration has been sought or obtained.
Evora BioAge is a wellness motivational tool. It does not diagnose, predict, or measure any medical condition and is not a substitute for medical advice. Consult a qualified healthcare provider for clinical assessment. Evora BioAge estimates are calculated from wellness data using population-derived algorithms and will vary from any clinical biological age assessment.
Heart rate variability readings, sleep scores, recovery scores, body composition metrics, and all other data generated by Devices and displayed in the App are estimates based on consumer-grade sensor technology. They carry inherent measurement variability and are not equivalent to clinical measurements obtained by medical-grade equipment.
The blood pressure trend feature (available on premium band models) is a relative trend indicator. It is not a clinical blood pressure reading. You should not make any health decision based on this reading without confirming with a calibrated sphygmomanometer and consulting a healthcare provider.
ECG rhythm analysis (available on premium band models) may indicate possible rhythm irregularities. This feature does not diagnose arrhythmia or any other cardiac condition. If you receive a rhythm alert, consult a cardiologist or your doctor immediately.
Cycle predictions, fertility window estimates, and phase-based guidance are based on historical cycle data and wellness biometrics. They are not clinically validated for contraceptive or reproductive health purposes.
If you have any existing medical condition, or if you experience any unusual symptom, pain, or health concern, consult your doctor or a qualified healthcare professional before using any Evora Device or following any guidance from the App.
Evora Health accepts no liability for any health consequence, loss, or damage arising from reliance on data, scores, predictions, or insights provided by the Platform. All informational outputs carry a mandatory "informational only, not diagnostic" notice within the App.
The Evora Health App generates personalised insights using a rules-based engine and, after the 14-day learning period, an AI model powered by the Anthropic Claude API. AI-generated insights are produced from your actual health data as logged and synced to the App. All AI outputs are validated against source data before being displayed. If validation fails, the insight is suppressed rather than displayed.
Before the 14-day learning period is complete, all guidance is generic and phase-appropriate only. It is explicitly prefixed "Based on general guidance" rather than "Based on your data."
AI-generated insights are wellness guidance only. They do not constitute medical advice and must not be used as a substitute for professional medical opinion. Evora Health does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any AI-generated output. You accept full responsibility for any action taken based on AI-generated guidance.
The The Evora Bio Band and The Evora Bio Pod connect to the App via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). The Evora Bio Pod also supports Wi-Fi 2.4GHz for background sync. The LED Bio Mask has no electronic connectivity and is logged manually in the App.
Bluetooth and location permissions are required on Android 12 and above for BLE device scanning. These permissions are requested during onboarding and may be changed in your device settings at any time. Disabling Bluetooth permissions will prevent device pairing and sync.
The App maintains an offline local cache (SQLite) on your device. Data syncs to our cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud Firestore, europe-west1 region) when a connection is available. A deduplication mechanism prevents duplicate records. Sync conflicts are resolved using device-side timestamps as the authoritative source.
The App supports integration with Apple Health (iOS) and Google Health Connect (Android) for reading supplementary activity, sleep, and workout data, and for writing Evora Device data back to the OS health platform. Enabling these integrations is optional and governed by the respective platform's permissions.
The Evora Bio Pod supports up to 5 user profiles per account (Family Mode). The measurement is attributed to whichever user has the App open in the foreground at the time the measurement is taken. No automatic weight-based user detection is used.
Safety notice: Do not use the LED Bio Mask if you are pregnant, have active skin conditions in the treatment area, have photosensitivity disorders, or are taking photosensitising medications including certain antibiotics, retinoids, or anti-inflammatory drugs. Consult your healthcare provider before use if you are unsure.
The LED Bio Mask operates on a fixed 10-minute hardware timer. Sessions longer than 10 minutes cannot be initiated via the hardware. The App enforces a 12-hour cooldown between sessions. The App will warn you if you attempt to log a 4th session in a rolling 7-day window and will display a danger warning at 5 or more sessions per 7-day period.
Always close or adequately shield your eyes during sessions. The provided eye shield must be worn during use. Do not stare into the LEDs. Keep the mask away from children.
By using the LED Bio Mask, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these safety requirements. Evora Health accepts no liability for harm resulting from improper use, failure to follow pre-session safety checks, or use by persons who should not use photobiomodulation devices.
A pre-session safety checklist is displayed in the App before every logged session. You are required to confirm this checklist before the session timer starts. Safety override events (for example, a session logged as longer than 10 minutes) are flagged in your event log and may reduce your Evora BioAge Group E score.
The App allows you to add up to 3 emergency contacts. Emergency contacts must be relatives (parent, sibling, spouse, child, or other relative). You must provide the relationship type when adding a contact.
In the event that a danger-level safety alert is triggered, the App will attempt to initiate a phone call to your primary emergency contact via your device's standard calling function. If the call is not answered within approximately 30 seconds, and if you have opted into Family Mode emergency sharing, a high-priority alert notification will be sent to your emergency contacts' Evora App accounts.
An automated SMS containing your last-known location may be sent to emergency contacts if you have granted location permission and separately opted into this feature during emergency contact setup.
The emergency contact feature is a supplementary wellness alert system. It is not a substitute for emergency services. In a medical emergency, contact South African emergency services immediately (112 from any mobile phone).
Evora Health does not monitor your health data in real time and is not responsible for outcomes arising from delayed or unsuccessful emergency contact attempts. The reliability of the emergency contact feature depends on network availability, device power, and your contact's device settings.
Family Mode allows a Premium subscriber to add up to 4 additional users to a shared account (maximum 5 users total including the account owner). Each member has their own private health data stored under their own user record. Family members cannot read each other's health data except where emergency sharing has been explicitly opted into by the individual member.
The account owner is responsible for ensuring that all family members are aware of and agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy before they are added to the account. The account owner is the billing party for the shared Premium subscription.
Members are invited by email. Each invited member must create their own account and accept these Terms independently.
The Platform integrates with the following third-party services. Your use of these integrations is also subject to the terms of the respective third party.
Evora Health is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or actions of any third-party service. We will notify you of material changes to our third-party integrations where reasonably practicable.

Evora Health reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms without prior notice.
To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, Evora Health's total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms, your use of the Platform, or your use of any Device shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific Product or subscription giving rise to the claim in the 12 months prior to the claim.
Evora Health shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Platform, Devices, or any guidance or insight provided by the App.
Evora Health is not liable for any harm, injury, or medical outcome resulting from reliance on any wellness metric, score, prediction, recommendation, or AI-generated insight provided by the Platform.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act or any other applicable South African legislation.

By creating an account and using the Platform, you provide explicit consent to the processing of your personal information, including special personal information (health data, biometric data, cycle data, body composition data), for the purposes described in the Privacy Policy and these Terms.
You may withdraw consent, request access to your data, request correction or deletion of your data, or request a data export at any time via Me > Settings > Data in the App, or by emailing admin@evorahealth.co.za.

In accordance with the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECTA), by providing your email address you consent to receiving electronic communications from Evora Health, including order confirmations, App notifications, weekly digests, and marketing communications. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email, or in App Settings under Notifications.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts. The parties agree to first attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation before referring any dispute to formal legal proceedings.
Evora Health reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Amended Terms will be published on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify registered users of material changes via email and in-app notification where reasonably practicable.
